Mintra competence management:What skills are business-critical for your company? Who has those competencies, and who needs training? Today's business world is characterised by companies that are increasingly specialised in their activities. At the same time, competition for manpower with the requisite competence is tougher. It is becoming increasingly important for companies to develop and manage competence internally. To make that possible, companies need a system that maintains an overview of competency requirements, and who possesses those competencies. The Competence Management System on Trainingportal.no is an easy-to-understand, web-based system that helps you map and maintain an overview of your company's competence.Functionality in the Competence Management SystemOverview of CompetenciesIn the Competence Module, we define the roles and the competency requirement for each of the different roles in each individual company. Further, we document employee competence and make it visible. Everything is organised and presented in an easily understandable tree structure. For each competence element, you can set requirements for competency review. This is immensely useful for courses that must be completed annually. The system flags competence that is "past its date".Automatic Competence UpdatesIn the Competence Module, all competence based on e-learning courses completed through Trainingportal is updated automatically. As soon as a user has completed new training or a refresher course through Trainingportal, the user's approved competence is updated. With the Competence Module, you can be certain that all relevant competence is registered in the system at all times.Reports When role requirements and employee competence are registered, you can pull out overviews and reports of employee competence. Two standard reports are delivered with the module - Competency Requests and Competency Matrix.Competency Requests are reports that provide various kinds of data depending on what kind of questions you have. The report can be filtered and sorted using a set of parameters. For example, the report can provide you with answers to the following questions:• Who in my company has a special competence? • What is the status of a certain user's required competence? Does he or she possess all the requirements? • Who has completed skills upgrading and who is lacking a set of competencies? • Who has outdated competence? • Who needs to undergo refresher training next month? The Competency Matrix is a simpler report to generate. However, it provides a complete visual overview of all company competence, not to mention competency gaps. The Competency Matrix helps you keep all your company competence in order.
